Originally identified by Dr. Arnold Kegel as a way of preparing the female body for childbirth, pelvic floor, or Kegel, exercises have proven to be an effective method in the prevention and treatment of a number of urinary, bowel and sexual disorders. This can also be applied to men, with the additional benefit of reducing prostate inflammation.

The Private Gym has developed a series of Kegel exercises specifically targeted at men, so that we too can benefit from having strong pelvic floor muscles.


Meet the Private Gym experts

The Private Gym was developed by Dr. Andrew Siegel and his team; Dr Siegel is board certified, and a Practicing physician and surgeon at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr Siegel is also Assistant professor of urology at the University of Medicine, New Jersey and a diplomat of the National Board of American Examiners. The Private Gym Medical Advisory Board also includes Professor Grace Dorey, MBE, FCSP, PhD.

Dr. Andrew Siegel is a published author of Male Pelvic Fitness: Optimizing Sexual and Urinary Health. He has also been featured in the Gold Journal of Urology, Journal of Urology, Urologic Clinics of North America, Postgraduate Medicine, Neuro-Urology and Urodynamics, International Urogynecology Journal, Radiotherapy and Oncology, and the Journal of Brachytherapy International.
